Tasha Tudor in her garden.
Tasha Tudor is one of my favorite 20th century woman and role models. She is well know for her delightful illustrations and children’s books. She received many awards and honors, including Caldecott Honors for Mother Goose in 1945.
She was also an avid gardener and her illustrations and art work are filled with animals, plants and flowers. I began long ago as an art student and have always found gardening and excellent outlet for my creative nature!

Ravenscourt Gardens 
Even before becoming a gardener, I was attracted to artwork that depicted nature, especially in children’s books. She looks like a gentle soul. 🙂
