I am grateful for your readership! This is our 10th month and we have seen the little blog grow. Mondays, when we show pictures and talk about our installs, are the most popular but the other days are good too! We wish you all a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving. And for those that don’t celebrate this American holiday we wish you a very blessed day!

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, “thank you,” that would suffice. ~Meister Eckhart

These mums have been living at the end of our veggie bed for several years. They are left over from a color change in a clients urns on their porch. I couldn't bare to throw them away. And each year they remind me why!

This will be our last blog post until December. We are going away on a much needed break from the day in and day out of running a small company. We are visiting Sonoma County. It is an area well know for wine and I am looking forward to walking through a few vineyards and doing a bit of wine tasting. We will be having Thanksgiving dinner with our dear friend Michelle Hoting, who moved to Santa Rosa a couple of years ago. She is a very talented jewelry artist; if you love nature you will enjoy her jewelry. Here is a link to her website. The weather is going to be in the high sixties during the day and low forties at night, perfect for walking, hiking and exploring. I lived in Sacramento from 1981-1987 and had time to explore much of Northern California. This will be Shawn’s first trip there. We are both excited!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. To me it is about sharing a meal with family and friends after lots of cooking of delicious foods. It reminds me, like the Pilgrims, to be very grateful to mother earth for providing us with a cornucopia of food. You can see below our little garden is looking pretty ragged. The perennial herbs are still there. A bit of sage that is finally getting to see the light of day after being choked out by the basil. Our Chili Pequins are still producing peppers. And the rosemary that grows at the other end is spilling over.Shawn just planted some seeds for a small winter crop.
